Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Gameplay Modes
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Gameplay Modes
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy gameplay modes are designed around a 3vs3 Team Boss Battle Arena structure, combining PvPvE elements where two teams compete to defeat bosses in the Tokyo battlefield. The main gameplay modes are as follows:
1. Main Modes (5 Types)
- Season Ranked Battles: Core competitive mode where players progress from Bronze Rank upwards. Rewards are valuable and this mode determines the player's Battle Ranking.
- Casual Battle: Matches for fun, suitable for completing daily quests or testing new characters. Rewards are lower than ranked mode.
- Challenges: Designed for Solo Players to fight AI-controlled bosses or enemies. Solo mode still provides rewards for completed missions.
- Party Mode: Allows players to invite friends in-game or real-life friends to join the same team and battle together.
- Custom Battles: Highly customizable mode where players can select stages, bosses, and enemy types to appear in the match.
2. Narrative Progression
- Story & Messenger Episodes: Main story presented through cutscenes and Messenger episodes on the FINE app. Unlocking story is often tied to completing different gameplay modes or accumulating points in the Battle Pass.
- Post-Match Story Scenes: Winning matches unlocks special story scenes that show heroes’ lives in modern Tokyo, enhancing character personalities.
3. Additional & Training Modes
- PvE Practice: Includes PvE (versus bots) for new players to practice combos and Bravery management before entering live matches.
- Tutorial Match: Early game tutorial matches teach players basic movement and ability usage to handle initial enemies.
Community Notes:
Although Solo and PvE modes exist, the community notes that the game's main focus remains on player-versus-player competition (PvP Focus). AI in challenge modes is considered less complex than human opponents.
