Bravery Burst

In the main gameplay context of Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, Bravery Burst (or Burst Mode) is the only state where players can deal damage to bosses, forming the core of the "3vs3 Team Boss Battle Arena" mechanic focused on boss races within a 5-minute limit.
Detailed mechanics of Bravery Burst are as follows:
  • Entry Condition (The 9,999 Cap): Players cannot attack the boss freely but must accumulate Bravery Points (BP) up to the 9,999 cap first. Points are earned through crystal purification, defeating monsters, or attacking and defeating opposing players to steal their points.
  • Bypassing Invulnerability: Normally, bosses are invulnerable to all attacks. Once the BP cap is reached, players must perform a vertical flick on the character icon to activate Bravery Burst and pierce the boss’s defenses.
  • Duration Gating: The Burst state lasts only while players continuously use attack skills. When the last skill finishes or skill cooldowns are not ready, the state ends immediately, and Bravery resets. Coordinating skill cooldowns is essential to extend damage output.
  • Team Coordination (Burst Chain): The highest-level strategy is executing a Burst Chain or Team Combo, occurring when team members activate Burst and attack the boss together. This multiplies damage beyond individual attacks, key to winning close matches.
  • Character Roles in Burst: Support characters (e.g., Krile or Warrior of Light) provide Bravery Sharing to teammates, helping them enter Burst faster, while Ranged characters deal main damage to the boss safely during Burst.
Summary: Bravery Burst is not just a powerful attack but a strategic resource that forces players to balance between point collection (PvE) and interfering with opponents (PvP) to secure the timing for decisive boss damage.
